More hunting
Out yesterday the the Quorn again.
Pictures to come…!! Hopefully a couple of jumping ones!
A bit later in the day
Happy days!
These last two pictures are courtesy of Steve Wright, many thanks.
Sorry! But off to play with the bloodhounds….
Sorry for the lack of updates – have been super busy!
Clipped Holly & Callie last week – Holly was her normal silly self, Callie stood like a rock. What a fantastic baby pony!
Went cubbing with the Readyfield Bloodhounds last Sunday on Holly. Had an absolutely superb day. Excellent ground, excellent hospitality, excellent jumping. What more can you ask for of a day?
Callie is growing up fantastically, and I measured her to approximately 141.5cm, so shes heading in the right direction too. Ellie is getting a noticeably bigger tum, even though she seems to be trying to hold it in as much as possible!
Video!
Ircos Mysteree Elhee at the SPSS Mare Grading 2011
SPSS Mare Grading 2011
Well, Ellie is graded!! She was an absolute angel all day – couldn’t fault her in any way.
Incredibly hot day, so we got her a day stable rather than standing on the trailer, so she took full advantage, and lay down for a nap.
She is graded into the Preliminary studbook, but has a mark eligible of the Main Studbook, this is due to her lack of pedigree on the dam’s side, which I am going to endevour to find out as much as possible.
A few pics of the girl herself now…
Plaiting before dawn – she wasn’t sure about getting up at this time!
So what’s the party then!?

Preparations for SPSS grading 2011
Preparations are well underway for the SPSS Mare Grading tommorrow!
Ircos Mysteree Elhee (Ellie) is bathed and tucking into a nice haynet, keeping herself clean and shiney for tommorrow.
Our new rugs have arrived too – very exciting
Fantastic quality, and excellent service from The Embriodery Centre, East Leake, Leicestershire – No website I’m afraid.
Wish us luck!
Mare grading ahead, lessons behind!
Ircos Mysteree Elhee (Ellie) is going for SPSS mare grading on Saturday. Its being held at the fantastic Bury Farm Equestrian Centre which has never been used by a studbook before – We are the first!!
Ellie has been beautified, trimmed and tidied to within an inch of her life, and looks fantastic. She is having a bath on Friday – Will take a photo of her in her PJ’s – We use Snuggy Hoods
Looking forwards to the weekend and seeing lots of pony people, and having a catch up – hopefully bringing home a pretty ribbon in the process!
As for the behind bit, I had lessons last night on C. Arctic Kiss (Callie) – just a short, checking we are going the right way session with her, and about 40-45mins on Paler Shade of Grey (Holly) who was absolutly fantastic, and felt very mature in the contact and confident in her work, which is unusal for her, as her biggest issue is tension usually!
Introducing ourselves…
We are a small, family run enterprise (by family run I really mean me – Hannah and Dad – John) that specialises in event ponies, breeding and producing.
I am part of the Sports Pony Studbook Society (SPSS), also I am part of the British Young Breeders programme, I was fortunate to take a place on the Anglo European Studbook Senior team to go to France in July 2011. Unfortunatly pony studbooks were not eligible to send teams.
We have three mares at the moment, who are all different ages and stages of training.
